The “Upper Reactor Unit” was delivered on the route of the Izhorsky Plants (Kolpino) to the port of St. Petersburg for the fourth block of the Kudankulam nuclear power plant in India.
The upper unit of the reactor consists of a lid with tubes, a knee of air and a metal structure with a traverse. The total weight of the shipped product is more than 130 tons. The equipment is designed to seal the main connector of the reactor, to place the control and protection system, as well as to organize a closed volume to create pressure in the reactor.
The upper unit, like the case, belongs to the equipment of the first category of seismicity.
